Daniel Mann is a London based filmmaker and writer.

 

Mann explores the role of image production and circulation in shaping collective perceptions of armed conflict, colonisation and climate emergency.

 

His work in film and writing appeared in journals such as Media, Culture & Society, Visual Cultures and World Records, and screened internationally at film festivals and venues such as The Berlin Film Festival (Forum), The Rotterdam Film Festival, Cinema du Reel, The Hong Kong Film Festival, New Horizons and the ICA, London. 

 

Mann holds a PhD from Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths College, London.

Currently, he is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the Film Studies Department at King's College London where Mann is developing a new project that focuses on the exploitation of Middle Eastern desert environments in cinematic depictions of war, conflict and climate crises.
